Dear Homeowner,
IMPORTANT ADVICE ABOUT YOUR LAWN
We hope you’re enjoying this lovely weather… but we're sure your garden isn’t!
It doesn’t take long even for established lawns to suffer during periods of extremely hot weather, and newly laid lawns (less than 12 weeks) suffer even more until they have fully taken root.
New turf will need a great deal of water to become fully established and rooted in, so make sure to water it regularly to avoid it drying out during the dryer months - a sprinkler will
be your best friend as it is also important that you minimise walking on newly laid turf.
We also recommend that you follow a seasonal weed and feed regime, making sure to also rake and aerate your new lawn when it is fully established.
Watering your garden is best done in the evening when the heat has eased off and the direct sunlight has faded – this avoids your lawn becoming scorched, and the water evaporating before it has chance to reach the roots.
New lawns take much more water than you would think, so it’s important that you ensure that the garden receives a really good watering on a daily basis during dry periods to keep it looking its best, allowing you get the most pleasure out of your garden when its fully established.
Garden maintenance is the homeowner’s responsibility post legal completion, and replacing a damaged lawn can be very expensive, so please follow these instructions to minimise the chances of this permanent damage occurring
Thanks
